santa cause project

Santa Cause is a holiday program that allows families who are experiencing hard financial times to receive help in providing a happy Christmas to their families.  It is a joint effort of Williamson County Juvenile Services, the Franklin Noon Rotary, My Friend's House, Grace Point Church, schools, churches, citizens of the community, businesses, and various civic clubs. It is coordinated by the Williamson County Juvenile Services. Referrals are made by Juvenile Services, the ALC, Y-CAP, STARS, school personnel, and Foster Care Review Board. Each referral is personally contacted to determine if they are receiving assistance else where and if they would like to participate in Santa Cause. They are then asked to prepare a personalized "needs and wish" list. It is not expected that all requests are fulfilled

Families or parts of families may be adopted. For persons wanting to participate, but who are unable to "shop" for the family, monetary donations are gladly accepted. Volunteers use the donations to shop for the families not adopted.  Presents can be delivered directly to the family or brought to Juvenile Services who will arrange the delivery.

Monetary donations should be made to My Friend's House, a 501(c)(3) organization.  All monies collected will be designated specifically for the Santa Cause Project.

This program is handled in a very careful, sensitive manner, so that families take pride.
