Nashville Predator’s head coach Barry Trotz recently donated $25,000 to My Friend’s House and to show their appreciation, the children of My Friend’s House presented the coach with a framed poem that they had written at a private dinner at the Cool Springs Marriott on September 6, 2006.

Through their generosity, Barry and his wife Kimberly have given many teens at My Friend’s House a life that is rich with love and full of opportunities. Their financial support has provided the necessities for day to day living and many needed programs that help shape teenage boys into mature, responsible, and caring young men.

Barry and Kimberly’s support has been “immeasurable” and certainly serves as a testimony of their commitment to the mission of My Friend’s House. Beyond their monetary donations, Barry and Kimberly have been known to drop by the house for a visit or to make special arrangements for the boys to attend a Nashville Predators hockey game, as guests of the team.

But more significantly, Barry and Kimberly have been leaders in demonstrating the importance of taking time out for those in need. They have shown just how special each adolescent life at My Friend’s House truly is through their thoughtfulness and kindheartedness.

My Friend's House is a Wonderful Place

It's been a slow race to stay on pace.

But I see clearly now and it's time to change

 Before I came to My Friend's House I didn't go to church

and never Prayed Life is filled with hard time and choices

You  just got to go, the right way

State’s  custody is not a place that you would want to stay.

And I have to thank God for showing me the light,

With the help of My Friend’s House, everything will be alright.

It's one of those places when it's rainy, the sky is still so bright and blue,

What I'm saying about"  My Friend’s House is no lie, only true.
